Viva Las Vegas! I have recently returned from a few days of fun and excitement in sin city. The overwhelming stereotype of Vegas is gambling, drinking, sex, and very expensive Vegas style shows. No don’t get me wrong those things are there and then some. All you need to do is go for a walk along the strip at any time of day and is will be very obvious. There is another side of Vegas though. As I have been there a few times before this trip I was looking for another side, and I found it!
Vegas is full of opportunities to Dare2Live and I personally had an absolutely amazing experience with one of our 3 adventures on this trip (well actually all three but this is about one of them).
Imagine jumping from a plane high above the earth, wind rushing up at you at 120 mph or more and being suspended in this for a minute or so. I experienced this feeling of hanging suspended above the ground, floating around but not falling. Some have described the feeling like a flying dream. Anyone who has actually skydived has described this feeling as the very same as in skydiving. This was indoor skydiving. Yup you read it right, indoors. Small 1 to 1.5 minute chunks of time free of gravity (sort of), living what usually is only felt in dreams, experiencing the rush of actual skydiving in controlled environment, overcoming any preconceived fears that may have been. This is flying bliss.
A first step towards skydiving from a plane??? Stay tuned!
