In that instant I knew I was about to do some rock climbing. We were on a weekend getaway before my 5 year old was about to start kindergarten and wanted to have some great family outdoor active fun time. There was a fun zone set up, mostly for the kids, but us adults could take part with some of it too. It looked like great fun. It was active fun. It required some level of strength, mobility, and agility.
In the instant my daughter asked that I join her in the fun, without hesitation, I said yes. I know my level of Thriving Health would not be a limitation.
Not everyone can say or feel the same which might leave them on the sidelines watching what might have been a great time and cherished memory.
Achieving and sustaining Thriving Health enables you to be ready for just such an occasion. You may choose to do it because it’s something you love to do. You may say yes to stretch your comfort zone and try something new. You may say yes to joyfully support someone else, like your child.
The point is that Thriving Health allows you to say yes… out of the blue!
Why is that important? Well for me it was climbing the wall alongside my 5 year old daughter. It was seeing her have the courage to do something for the first time. It was seeing her look up at me and smile. It was the hug and high 5 when we were done… and it was me enjoying something I have not done in a while and making it to the top to ring the bell!
What might achieving and sustaining Thriving Health allow you to do without hesitation on your next weekend adventure?
